Choosing a Behavioral Consultant or Trainer

Even if you decide to go elsewhere, it's our top priority that you and your dog recieve the best care possible by choosing a trainer using only safe, proven, humane methods supported by scientific research and endorsed by leading agencies and organizations.

Lisa Wolf has over 33 years of experience working with dogs of all breeds as well as wolves and wolfdogs. She specializes in ethology, pack dynamics, canine language and communication, and the treatment of behaviorial disorders. She has authored numerous essays and articles on the subject of canine behavior and training. Lisa has studied and continues to pursue ongoing education in the areas of canine behavior, ethology, health, nutrition, behavioral disorders, training and behavioral modification methods, classic and operant conditioning practices, and issues unique to rescue and shelter dogs. Lisa has a gift for connecting with dogs and is able to quickly diagnose and develop a treatment plan to correct behavioral issues or identify the methods to which your dog will best respond in learning basic obedience skills. She is committed to educating owners in easily understood lessons tailored to their individual situation. Lisa will teach you what you need to know to do the same for your dog. She'll also make sure you have a chance to apply what you are learning throughout the process in addition to providing lots of coaching, support and advice.
Lisa supports numerous canine organizations to include Wolfdog Magazine, the International Wolf Center, Wolf Park and numerous other animal charities, as well as a full member of the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers). She is a canine foster caretaker specializing in rehabilitation of troubled dogs and has volunteered countless hours with rescue and shelter groups. Lisa is former President of the Licking County Humane Society and a certified Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR instructor. Beyond her experience with animals, Lisa is a veteran of the US Air Force with 23 years of service to her country.
When not spending time with dogs or wolves, Lisa enjoys writing, snowboarding and kayaking. She lives with six canines, three cats and one husband.
